On opening the plastic packets, please check that the root ball is damp. If the root ball appears dry add a little water. Please let the plants rest overnight before planting them out. The plug plants, especially bedding plants and Fuchsias, should be handled with care and never handled by the leaves. Provided that all danger of frost has passed, then the plugs can be planted directly into their final position or you may prefer to pot them up and let them grow on before planting them out.

In our experience bedding plants and Fuchsias do best when planted directly into their final positions. Please note that any Clematis supplied during the Winter months will have very little, if any, visible top growth. This is quite normal. Pot the plugs up as normal and keep in a cool place over Winter. In early Spring bring them into the warmth and you will quickly see new top growth developing.
Regular deadheading and, when in flower, weekly feeding with half strength Tomato feed will give you excellent results and ensure a very long flowering period.
